Bonne Nuit, Grenouille

Once upon a time in Paris, a little girl was supposed to go to sleep
But instead of staying in bed, she was out and about and playing with her doudous
She made believe that she and her frog were riding their bicycles around the city
Past the bakery, through the market, by the Eiffel Tower, all the way to the playground

They played for hours and hours running around and around and going down the slides
But all the fun came to an end when her dad came to her room and told them

Bonne nuit, grenouille
Au lit, ma fille
Ne fait pas de bruit
A demain

She and her frog were walking through the forest when they stopped to pick some berries
They saw a wolf, and the wolf saw them, and then things began to get a little bit scary

The wolf ran toward them, so they ran away, and while the wolf was chasing them, he slipped and fell
But the danger came to an end when her dad came to her room and told them

Bonne nuit, grenouille
Au lit, ma fille
Ne fait pas de bruit
A demain

After a while, they were lost in the forest, and the little girl didn’t know what to do
Luckily, the frog knew that if they could follow their tracks, then they could find their way back home

But when they got home, the wolf was there with her parents telling them what happened in the woods
He had run toward the girl and the frog to show them how to get back home
But when he fell, he broke his leg, and he would have to wear a cast for a few weeks
The girl and the frog apologized, and they knew it would be the last time her dad would have to say

Bonne nuit, grenouille
Au lit, ma fille
Ne fait pas de bruit
A demain
